I recently sat down with my son and asked him what career field he wanted to go into. He’s approaching the end of the sophomore year of college, and I’m sure he has to declare a major. He said he wanted to go into graphic design.
I was a bit taken back by this, as I’m not sure he needs a college degree for that. I’d hate to waste tuition money we could use for his younger sisters.
I think he realized that. He actually gave me some graphic design work he did for my floral business, in terms of website graphics, fliers, and even business cards he had printed up. Since I switched to his graphics, my business is up 10 percent. I guess we can afford his degree.
